My last game was my dad's last game… The Cal lightning game of Sept 2019

Watching the telecast for the first time, Rogers was pre-snap locking in on Boston too much and it got obvious way too quickly.
-
It's a good example now of how QB box scores constantly look a lot better than what you actually see. He was just okay at best to me and that they really struggled to have WRs they could get involved past Jackson and Boston was and Jackson was the only one making any catches for a while.
-
I actually liked what Rogers showed a bit with escaping pressure to make plays but worried that won't be easy against better opponents. I'm still worried about going into the season with QB that isn't mobile and with a questionable OL and WRs/TEs.

The shovel pass to Davis was nice.
UW was waiting until ~12 seconds to run a play, and Weber State was also trying to burn clock, so I think this was a nice game overall, just 2 really dumb sacs.
-
the coaches talking to Qb’s in their ear holes is having an effect on when the ball is snapped. They can yap in their ear until 15 seconds on the play clock
-
take size out of the equation and Jackson looks like the better athlete.
-
it’s ok. If he gets knocked out it likely means they really need a mobile qb who can run for their life. That guys qb2
-
There was a stat that someone put out on twitter a few years ago on Jared Goff. He was like a hall of famer passer rating wise if he snapped with 15 or more seconds on the playclock and out of the league when it went under 15 seconds.

That must have been me polishing off the can of Maison Perrier
