The Throbber cringes when Mrs Throbber v2.0 says she’s going grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s. That means she is loading up on kale and other nonsensical food with no taste and you’re still hungry at the end of the meal.
They do have some good candy so it’s a score if she brings home the dark chocolate covered toffee.
But yeah TJ is for fags.

It is if you treat the place as a regular grocery store. It’s not if you use it as a supplemental/specialty grocery store. They have some great products such as their sauces and almonds/mixed nuts snack packs.

Yes like Natural Grocers it's attractive to women that want the snacks and a bunch of kids shit.
If I choose to go into a grocery store at all, which is rare, I go to New Seasons and walk out having spent 60$ on beer, hot bar food and coffee.

Quit trying to defend your homosexual lifestyle choices. Trader Joe’s is for fags. End of story.

Fags vs the disgusting people at Costco with 2 shopping carts full of Pepsi that glare at people like *they* are the ones being inconvenienced.
There is no normal grocery store situation.

In response to @haie above:

Attractive women like Trader Joe's (iron law), including my wife. If that makes me a homosexual then bring me the peg.
Gotta make some compromsies sometimes with places like that and Crate and Barrel.

It is only if you do a bulk of your grocery shopping there. The produce and dairy sections are twash. But there is some magic in some of the other parts of the store. The magic of Trader Joe’s is they find an exceptional product, like a specialty sauce, and copy it. Their sauces are legit. General Tsos, Carolina BBQ, Curry, all great, and you can’t find that shit anywhere else. They have other great stuff too.

TJs meat section is slightly above convenience store quality.
Their frozen aisle is actually pretty solid.
The Throbber also likes some of their bakery stuff even though none of it is made in store. Their chiabatta bread is solid and their chocolate cake is goddamned delicious.

Yes, Trader Joes (coming soon to CDA!) is best for a few specific items, not for the entire grocery trip. We like the frozen meals - the wife and I work full time and have a kid in volleyball, sometimes heating up the tikka masala or bulgogi beef from Trader Joes is the best we are going to get on a weeknight.
