It will be interesting to see how Rogers performs in Fisch's offense. He takes great care of the ball, but he's the definition of a dink and dunk-er, and he's absolutely ZERO threat with his legs. He does seem to move intelligently in the pocket.
People here talked shit about De Laura not making big armed plays for Fisch "imagine if he had a QB who could make that throw" and now he still doesn't have a QB who can make that throw. I know QBR is dubious, but those are not good numbers. And holy shit, the next time he throws a spiral will be the first. Does that matter? I don't fucking know. But god damn does he throw an ugly ass ball. Every fucking throw is a wobbler.also JFC @vanilla, what a piece of shit.

Thought I was reading about Bonicks for a sec. Okay, Bonicks has better legs. Fine. Great legs. Fantastic legs. Your words, not mine. I'll take Willy in a dink and dunk battle tho.

yah we are going from a guy that was legendary at throwing the deep ball to a guy that can make the intermediate pass game work. We can live with that [as we all know, QB is not going to be our problem], especially if we can move the ball on the ground with decent success and consistency. Its been a while since we have had a consistent ground game and hopefully this new line can protect the QB against constant crashing by opposing defenses ~ It seems obvious that we will employ the quick release short air game to slow down the penetration of opposing defenses while this OL gets established [if that can happen].
I'm personally not as keen on our 2024 receivers as a lot of people after having an all world lineup the last 2 years and do not know how good the young guys are, but it does sound like the recruits that are coming next year will have the quality we are looking for.
In the meantime we probably have enough talent on board to cobble together a respectable air attack to balance the run game. I'm thinking 8-4 for the regular season, so i'm thinking this team will be decent while having the obvious limitations ~ I'm interested to see how it plays out.

"If Will Rogers can be somewhere near peak Jake Browning, I will be thrilled. That's not asking a lot, and it should be a fair expectation, if not a little ambitious."

"This team will go as the OL and running game go. Asking a ton from Rogers is a big ask. We will be 60/40 run/pass, maybe even 90/10. Big 10 football baby. Coleman is a tank"

He's a poor man's Browing at best.

I will also make this claim after his second 20-yard sack. You have my word.

I’m hearing Giles Jackson is about to have a major breakout year.
