it isn’t a rivalry, hasn’t been for years and should not be on our schedule. The only reason it is, is some kind of idiotic concession to moronic legislators that think UW owes an allegiance to an alliance with WSU.
Just because it's lopsided Win/loss absolutely doesn't mean it isn't a rivalry. You have to be completely ignorant of history in WA to make a claim like that. Purdue and Notre Dame is a bitter rivalry although ND is dominant by far.
Just because Cuog wants everything Husky to DIAFF doesn't make it a rivalry. Most UW colleagues I know just think it's a fun little matchup against the Idaho border school that thinks it's big time. Basically, WSU is Dwight and UW is Jim.
Is anyone actually going to be at the game this year? Even the die hardest of cuogs and doogs are having second thoughts on tickets to the game. The apple cup in front of 15k at Lumen will be special.
will be the first game played in Seattle outside the Covid bullshit that I won’t be at in person since Marcus Allen ran for like 200 yards in Husky Stadium in front of young Alexis.
I will be, and the second I got emailed instructing me to "download the Seahawks app and connect it to my Ticketmaster account to receive my tickets" I immediately regretted the decision.
My initial motivation was to walk around with a B1G patch shirt/jersey in front of their fans. Worth the price of admission.
Ignorant of the history? I'm definitely mentally challenged, but not about this ~ i've been watching this "series" since the 50's ~ that's a lot of freaking games so i do know the history of this, and frankly the series has been boring… this is not a rivalry… just a neighboring school that is across the state that has not been a threat match up wise except for a few exceptions. Just my opinion of course, you are welcome to have a different thought and imagine a different reality.
A team can have more than one rival, the wazzu / uw game is a game a lot of ppl don't care about any more. I wish it wasn't on the schedule as it's a waste of a non conference game. Some older fans still like it. I think It's time to let go.
They are not a peer in any way moving forward. Lose and it's an embarrassment, win and nobody cares.

Thanks Taft!
Does the writer know the Apple Cup is no longer played during rivalry week? That seems pertinent.
Can that actually be considered an article?
yahoo does sports? I thought they just covered Swift and the Kardashians
Pretty funny how badly DeBoer struggled with a glorified MW coach though.
It's some dude working for Notre Dame. It's a good illustration of somebody knowing basically nothing
Or it's a good illustration of how irrelevant the Pac-12 was on a national stage
it’s not a rivalry anymore
but how is sports media oversaturated?

I'd rather they play beavlet instead.

does ND know of this rivalry with Purdue?
You can keep believing that a team can only have one rivalry and it has to balanced. However you'd be incorrect. But this is the place for it.
