letting an employee go is whether it’s for cause or due to restructuring just isn’t something you brag/joke about with anyone.
Unless we’re talking about a HS job, you’re making light of a life event for the person in question and boasting about “swinging the axe” is such a terrible look that only someone who’s never been involved in the actual process of firing an employee would think that it’s something to boast about.

Guys no matter how you wish it isn’t true, it’s very true. I bring it up because there’s a certain population that is struggling with this concept….your hardcore political views is a distraction and has zero business in the workplace. You can and will get fired when you refuse to acknowledge this fact.
