it’s not NIL money it’s straight bribery. And to be fair it’s not just Oregon. A high school kid getting six figures to commit isn’t NIL because they may never profit from said funds. It’s just a straight bribe to boost the schools ego, any school for that matter just so that I’m fair to everyone here.
Yeah no one should feel sorry for the Georgias of the world having to deal with a program that's willing to raise the bar for spending. Do I like the fucking with Lanning and calling them out on it, hell yeah.
I just think it's funny that the only compliment Kirby can give Lanning, a guy from his tree that he has plenty of reasons to see succeed, is to bring up the NIL support that he's getting.
It's a good thing and I'm sure the blinding mostly undeserved hype getting thrown online about Lanning as a coach and recruiter is rubbing other coaches the wrong way so hopefully they're motivated to beat him. Maybe he can fake more injuries though. That would be cool.
All the existing mid/lower B1G teams are going to be out to prove that their play "a more physical brand of football" when they play the 4 newcomers and you'll hear their coaches parrot that shit over and over this year.
And I'm sure they love The Duck showing up to their precamp press conferences and making it about Oregon.
