I have 45 texts from my confused and upset children because I had to pretend for 3 hours tonight that Trump was almost murdered wasn'wasn't a big deal. I want to see what you all had to say before I go to X. I respect you BigErn as a voice of reason. I won't sleep tonight.

I get that good people serve our country and they deserve the benefits that come with that. My own son wants to be in the Secret Service and that concerns me. I just want intelligent people (you've proven to be that tonight) to understand no government can ever be trusted and regardless of our political opinions it will be turned against us. It's simply history repeating itself. I had to pretend for 3 hours tonight that all was well at a foo foo party when I should have been telling everyone to wake the fuck up. I got into a semi heated debate with an emigrant from Venezuela as the party was winding down that what happened to him (a lawyer) and his entire family is happening again here in the United States. He's blaind and thinks we have rights. I said are you blind? You had rights before your country tried to destroy you. You fled here and your rights are being dismantled every day. Is it going to take them being pushed onto the mostly peaceful trains to death before they understand? It's simply history repeating itself but the naive stand by and believe it can't happen to them, when it already has in their lifetime, because, "we have rights". If I vote D or R it can't happen to me. Humanity is dumb beyond belief. Alexis De Toqueville had it right and this republic is dead. I appreciate this man's hope but no government will ever be "good". Again, I truly appreciate your sanity tonight! Sleep well.
