"historically high tide!!!"
When/if you ever grow up, I suspect your perspective on what receives the "historic" label will expand a bit.
-
You’re just so awkward and goofy. One of my favorite lies you’ve told is how you were some amazing QB in high school. You’d be laughed out of any huddle I was in during HS ball.
-
Define it then. Use your big Boi econ 101 words.
-
A moment in time when inflation spiked to a high single digit number, and swiftly receded, ain't "historic" for anyone with even a casual knowledge of inflation in this country. Might be big news among high school sophomores, though. Girls especially.
-
And you, the media, Janet Yellen and Biden called it transitory. You still do.
-
Uh Huh, and what qualifies as "historic" in this country?
-
I'm not running for office, so I don't need to spare your delicate feelings. Our recent high inflation was very much transitory. The inflation we have now isn't high at all. I'll bear the slight risk that saying this may make me unpopular here.
-
Transitory would mean that it would go away on its own. It went back down to 3% because the Fed increased rates 5 points, hence it wasn't transitory. Dumb and stubborn, quite the combo.
-
what qualifies as "historic" in this country?
Maybe the 9 consecutive years(!) during which inflation averaged 9.24% per year, 1973-1981.
But don't let me stop you from getting hysterical about 3%, Marge.

And? What other period?
