What Happened To Cory Littleton?

If Wilcox had remained as DC, I thought he'd start at "Rush" with Kikaha at weak-side DE but now Kikaha is at Buck and Littleton is either 3rd string there (behind Wooching) or a back-up SAM.

I thought he was really coming along in the 2nd half of last year and now he could ride the bench as a true junior?

I think it is a little too early to worry about PT. But I do recall either Coach Pete or Coach Kwiat saying they love his versatility and the fact he can play several positions in their defensive scheme. He will make a nice impact this year.

Littleton is a superb athlete with great hips.
  • If JW was still DC we would be in year 6 of Steve Kardashian, hell of a way to start a poast.

    Good post and thanks.

Littleton is at OLB now, probably 4th on the team behind Thompson, Feeney and Bierria. He was running with 2nd string LB with Bierria and Victor on Monday.

The Kikaha position is Kikaha 1st, Wooching 2nd and Jaylen Stringfellow Johnson 3rd. The other DE position that Littleton held is being filled with bigger, heavier DEs that could play the 3-tech if needed. Andrew Hudson is starting, Will Dissley is backing him up and Shane Bowman is 3rd or something.

A significant note about this defense as compared to Wilcox's last year is that we had Kikaha as the "big" DE and Littleton/Shirley as the RUSH. Now, Kikaha is the RUSH whereas we have big guys on the DL for the "big" DE position. The 3 players at that position weren't with the team last season with Dissley and Bowman freshman and A. Hudson buried on the depth chart. Watching the production out of that position alone will be interesting as it will be a huge comparator between Wilcox and Coach K as D coordinators.

Littleton just goes through the motions out there anyway. Get someone in there who can get to the football

Littleton isn't good. No need to really discuss much further.

I actually thought he was pretty good and coming along in the 2nd half of his true soph year. But if he doesn't fit the new D and the new D staff likes other guys better, then yes, no need to really to discuss.

I guess if they actually do like him, they might consider redshirting him since Timu will be gone, Shaq probably will be gone, and Feeney is a RS-JR. Probably won't happen though.

Nothing happened to Cory, the team has recruited better options.

Time will tell. Either way it will be interesting.

I bet he ends up getting solid playing time. He will spell Kikaha a little bit against the no huddle teams and he will come in on some passing situations. Gregory (LB Coach) said he was having as good of fall camp as any of the LB's a week or two ago.

He'll be suddenly seniored then the new coach will bring him back...probably be running with 1st Team.
