Joking aside, this is strikingly curious. Unless he doubled his salary or something akin, this might be the first actual red flag coming out of Tuscaloosa
swapping linebacker coaches with Alabama does seem like a UW win. I liked Inge and I do like Devin Bryant as a prospect but he wasn’t a top flight recruiter while here or at Indiana.
I don't know if we can post tweets on here and frankly I'm scared to try. But there's several Twitter threads of Alabama fans who are pissed that he's not going to be there anymore.
Upon further review Bala only secured two 3* LB recruits in his one cycle at Bama. He’d been coaching in Tennessee at Liberty so it’s not like he needed to get his southern reads down. The Bama fans hated their previous LB coach and appreciated Balas results and development of the kids on the field. With Saban as your closer he sure couldn’t seem to reel in any big fish recruits. Maybe the swap with Inge is more like for like although I’m not sure how great of a coach Inge actually was. Seemed more like a glue guy/mentor for the players.
first red flag? You mean besides the fact that some of their best players transferred and they have the least amount of buzz on the recruiting trail in a long time?
If Saban hired him and fans liked Bala in his 1 year, it's hard not to be intrigued. Bala can sell his Alabama experience and playing time since the top 3 LBs will graduate (Bruener, Tuputala, Parnham) and with only 3 other scholarship LBs back in 2025 (excluding the portal).
I didn't watch a lot of Alabama, but I gotta think their LBs were more successful relative to the rest of the Bama defense than were UW's LBs relative to the rest of UW's D.

He's originally from the west coast and probably wants out of Alabama
I don't blame him; it's what Grubb and Huff did
The fat Dutchman is plugging holes in dikes faster than Ellen DeGeneres.
Maybe Brailsford can hitch a ride back west
I dont think he still had a job with Bama once DeBoer was hired.

Fisch had us waiting weeks for this last hire, which means there's more to the story.
The timeline supports that. He said goodbye January 10
But I don't let facts get in my way
He was hired by Western Michigan to be their DC two weeks ago lol
big buyout I presume?
do we owe his $8 million buyout?

Can he bring Kaho and his missing 20 lbs with him?
If we? get a coach that played football ever or just beyond a little longsnapper that helps
