At least Elise brought up the clock issue when DJ didn’t get off the field. Husky booth duo was too busy talking about stupid stuff. That was HUGE. Still pisses me off that they couldn’t get him off the fucking field.

For everything that DeBoer did great, closing out close games was not one of them. Can't turn the end of that game into more of a cluster fuck if you tried, and somehow they still won.
-
Its just not the same without Rondeau...
-
to be fair that’s one of the dumbest rules that’s ever existed
-
Can't argue with 25-3 but holy shit can't imagine a regime that struggled to close out games more and not make it stressful. Insane they never lost one of these games or a game this way.
2022
Michigan State - Totally dominate game (up 39-14 with 9 minutes left) yet MSU has the ball at midfield down only by 11 with 3 minutes left
Arizona - Up by 18 in the fourth, lead cut to 3 late with half the stadium watching the Mariners.
Cal - Up 28-14 in the 4th against a hapless Cal team. Get two chances to ice the game and can't. Cal is in UW territory before running out of downs at the end down 7.
Oregon - Needed just one first down to basically run the clock out after the slip and can't. Give Oregon the ball back with plenty of time. Force a 4th and 14 and can't get out of it.
Alamo Bowl - Control the game. Up 17 with 13 left in the 4th. Texas gets the ball back with a chance to tie at the end.
2023
Oregon - Not exactly the same as all these but up 11 in the 3rd with the ball. Shoutout for forcing third downs and run clock on the final drive, but still allow a 40 yard field goal attempt for the tie.
ASU - Game should have been over at the pick six, but can't get the two-point conversion then can't punch it in after forcing a three and out. ASU ends up with the ball midfield still a chance to tie.
Stanford - Up by nine with ball in red zone and fumble. Up by 2 with ball in red zone and interception in the 4th. They at least punched in a late TD to seal this one.
Utah - Dude is two yards away from walking into a 12-point lead late in the 3rd. You know what happens. No points when they get the ball after the safety. Blocked field goal late gives Utah a shot.
Oregon State - Pick in Oregon State territory up 12 in the 3rd. Score zero points and keep the Beav in it all the way.
Coug - Complete clusterfuck of a game. The leaping penalty gives a terrible swing late.
Oregon II - Up 20-3 yet fall behind eventually. Give up a one-play TD late when even forcing Oregon to run just a little clock on their way to TD damn near puts the game out of reach.

I remember those
-
The 2022 Oregon game play call after the slip, they threw the ball on first, incomplete. Which then led them to throw on 2nd. You have to run on first down there.
-
kind of sums up the whole season, but, winners win.
-
I'd also say in a lot of these games they had chances before the 4th to take two-possession leads or plunder and break a teams will and they just never could.
-
Credit where credit is due to Oregon for getting a three and out there. Holy shit you have to get at least one first there. They were running for 5 a carry so there was no reason to not run on first down there.
