True Dectective season 4

Tokyo Vice is solid but the subtitles are hard to follow after an edible.

Not impressed 2 episodes in

The show as a whole starts slow because there's no other way to show how impressive/hard it was for Jake Adelstein to get that job in the first place. The rest of it has been fictionalized off of real things he investigated that IRL were probably pretty boring.
The Yakuza lord cutting in front of the line to get his liver transplant at UCLA, and then threatening Adelstein that he would kill him and his family if he reported on it, apparently really happened though. Name was just changed.

I guess I’ll rank Night Country third in the series because I finished it as compared to season two. It’s not by much though. Didn’t have me captivated at all. Meh at best

Tokyo Vice kicks ass and blows night country out of the water. Race you need to give it more than 2 episodes.
-
Watched #3 last night. The problem is that I don't give a shit about any of the characters and it lacks tits and violence. There was a little more in 3

Night Country was like last year's ASU game with Powell's pick six. I will actually rank season 4 behind season 2 because they just focused on building a lot of it around leftist porn concepts and season 2 the people who made it actually earned getting to make something incoherent. This was literally something someone would write in a creative writing class which had a few ideas but then was just a complete mess.

This is what I've been saying!!! The Twitter of the person they allowed to make this crap is like reading the feed of someone you went to high school with who was already the worst person you knew and then lost their mind.

The only people I’ve seen applauding this season are the same people always searching for non existent WOKE points… a lot of white sportswriters… TITTT
-
Yeah..but damn. There isn't much good streaming shit on imo.
My wife likes The Traitors so I've been forced to watch it and I have to say, a murder game reality show with a bunch of psychotic retards has become more entertaining than most of the fiction being farted out ATM.

It seems like Covid and splintered culture killed TV/streaming as well. Feels like there's almost no transcendent shows coming out anymore and almost everything straight up isn't good. True Detective was kind of like those bands and musical artists that are still around from back in the day that can get an audience because people know the name but they don't make good music anymore.

It's the writers strike
Stuff will pick up again
The one man streamer, Taylor Sheridan has like 6 shows that stopped producing
Reacher season 2 was good
-
We started that show. Got to episode five and I’m kind of over it. Honestly I can’t even watch TV anymore besides reruns of Seinfeld. Everything has some kind of subliminal political agenda that ruins it
-
I also really tried to like Ted. Writing is complete shit compared to the Ted 2 which was great.
-
I can't get myself to watch anything that I haven't already seen anymore. It's depressing. My best two weeks of TV viewing since House of the Dragon season 1 came recently. I binged Weeds (start to finish) and Wilfred (kept falling asleep so I'm not sure how many I missed but it was great anyways).
I guess season 4 of TD must be over now so I suppose I'll sit down and give it a shot soon.

I have basically zero time to watch anything these days, but I tried to give For All Mankind a shot. Only an episode and a half in, but I wish I had more time to keep watching, as it's been pretty good thus far.

Highly recommend For All Mankind. Great show with some good turns/developments to it.
