I stand corrected...people are rioting and looting in St. Louis and stealing shoes, food, weaves and other random things not because of a systemic cultural issue that is not being addressed...its because the police have become more "militarised". That makes sense...its why we are seeing riots in New Hampshire, Iowa, Dallas, and the other locations mentioned in the Economist article after those incidents.
On a side note...shouldn't PETA have gotten involved when the tank ran over 100 cocks?

Two separate issues. You can see that, I'm sure.
Using the "Fallacy of the single cause" argument is beneath you.

Come on...think outside the box a little bit. Is that the best you can do? It's an undeniable problem. In the argument I started, I even admitted they were racial riots but that the people are too FS to look deeper into the real issue. You should try it.

I know it is two separate issues...the previous thread someone tried to say they weren't. The exact quote being "Everything always turns into a racial issue, but the real issue here is the nationwide militarization of local police forces. "
The riots in St. Louis are not due to the militarization of local police forces...its a pretty complex cultural issue no one is or wants to address.

See my previous post. Its FS to say the 'deeper, real' issue causing the riots is the militarization of police. If the militarization of police is happening nationwide why are there riots in St Louis and in a few other specific places every so often and not nationwide? If you are pissed off about the police go ahead and vent, just don't try and back up your argument with a riot that is in reality a bunch of kids and knuckleheads (as our president would say) thinking they can use this or any incident to go nuts, steal, loot, etc. and keep ignoring the underlying societal issues that are resulting in kids growing up with that mentality.
Better yet if you are pissed go ahead and take to the streets and riot and loot...doing so might even help prove me wrong.

HTH.
Yes. There is a cultural issue. Some people react to police brutality by either doing nothing or writing about it. Others riot.

After, what 6 posts in the old thread on the police?
Its not random who reacts by rioting vs. writing vs. doing nothing vs. recalling the city councilman (as was done in the California town in one of your previous posts in the previous thread...)? What causes the difference, how should people act, and what is being done to guide people towards more responsible behavior?
Asked another way, would you see the same thing in St. Louis if the Rams somehow won the Superbowl this year?

I didn't say anything about the rioting. I said the killing of the kid likely had nothing to do with race and was simply the cops being the cops. We can have a different discussion on why blacks riot more often than others. Different topic.
You said:
" But its not nearly as frequent as you'd like to believe and is nothing compared the daily incidents of things being done against them."
"I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but there are more than a million police officers in the US (if you believe wiki). Continuing on the made-up wiki stats there are something like 2,000 incidents a year of legit police brutality in comparison to 13 million arrests last year (according to the FBI website). And cop cars now have cameras rolling 24/7 to record everything, police are fitted for cameras, etc., etc."
I asserted that it happens a lot and is a huge problem and getting worse. I found something in my daily reading that suggested this is becoming a more of a problem as the years go by. And I wanted you to read it. So I started a new thread.
Fine - You seem to want to argue that blacks have a cultural problem and use injustices as an excuse to go on a rampage. You can have that debate, but it's not the one I was having.

And fuck the police for killing this guy.
