I disagree with you on one point. UW did NOT have the best OL in college football.
We can definitely agree that he will struggle when the opposing defenses have as much speed/talent as his offense. His play calling turned games that should have been blowouts into close games.

He’s been with DeBoer for 16 years or something like that. He gets a lot of passes from DeBoer because of their relationship.
Working for a new head coach — especially someone who is supposedly a defensive mastermind — could be an enlightening step for Grubb.
And hello! It’s the NFL.

I don't see why Grubb has to be above criticism. He made brilliant calls and sometimes boneheaded ones. His overly aggressive calls and inability to adjust prevented UW from putting away several games, including the first game against Oregon and the Sugar Bowl.

Grubb is an excellent OC. He's as NFL-ready in his schemes as it gets for a guy who hasn't coached in the NFL. Fortune favors the bold. If the shoe fits, wear it. Big Ern gives two big thumbs up. Big Ern is a ceiling guy.
The DeBoer schadenfreude would also make me antoniobanderas.gif.
