Just what I'm hearing...

Whittingham would be a homerun, no? His teams play defense and run the ball and he likes dual threat QBs.
-
Whittingham has to be in his mid 60s. If he can keep his LDS Poly connections and hire an OC I’d still be happy with it though.
-
In a vacuum Whitt would be a home run hire, but how much longer do we really believe he will be coaching for? He's already 64, if you don't have assurances he wants to coach into his early 70's I would be a bit hesitant.
-
Wittingham would probably be my first choice. Extremely high floor and high but debatable ceiling. He's probably not going 15-0 but that's not necessary and he's always right there contending. His style also seems to translate well to where we're headed

It would probably be his last job. It seems similar to peterman, he could have bounced to a blueblood any number of times but stayed with Utah. If UW could land him it would seem like a coup.DoogmanRefund said:Whittingham has to be in his mid 60s. If he can keep his LDS Poly connections and hire an OC I’d still be happy with it though.
Get him a Tosh and a Will Stein and Ws will roll in. -

He would also bring over Cameron Rising to play QB during our? gap 7-6 season next yeardtd said:Whittingham would be a homerun, no? His teams play defense and run the ball and he likes dual threat QBs.

Does he have connections or is he their Ektard?Alexis said:

The more I read, the less I know.

If there's candidates above Fisch that's a good sign.Alexis said:

You’re assuming the people doing the hiring are competent.

Whittingham would not be as strong without his racist DC. Doubt he would bring him to Seattle.
-
Regardless of UW's interest, Fisch is on borrowed time at UofA imo
-
UA is about to have to cut all sports except Football, basketball and baseball.
But Fisch may want to wait until 2025 to switch jobs. Cats could win the Big12 next year -
My concern with hiring Leipold in a matter of days is that Dannen just said, “Find me someone who’s like DeBoer, quick.”

Have you watched Kansas play at all? Dude can coach.DoogWhisperer said:My concern with hiring Leipold in a matter of days is that Dannen just said, “Find me someone who’s like DeBoer, quick.”

It’s Fisch.
Cook it. -

Whittingham would be interesting. His teams are Pat Hill TUFF, and his style of ball would play well in the B1G. The problem is he’s 64, and who knows how much longer he wants to coach.Kingdome_Urinals said:Wittingham would be dope. His teams are stubborn as fuck, play defense. They have only lacked elite qbs and wrs, which I think he can access at UW.
B1G membership would be a good selling point for him. -

And then Fisch is gone after one year.

No doubt. But is he the best option? Can he recruit at the level we need to rebuild? How does he handle boosters? The roster is nowhere near as talented as DeBoer got it. Do we lose anything by waiting a week to make sure we have the right guy? This class is a throwaway and most of the talent that we wanted to keep is already in the portal.AtomicDawg said:

Leipold is 59. Carroll is 72. Just for context.EsophagealFeces said:

I just want 8 years of stability. I feel like these older guys will stay until retirement. If UW needs to rebuild I want the coach who builds it to be here to coach the finished product and grow off that success.TheHB said:
