He got cooked in the first half, but made a big stop on a 3rd down in the 3rd quarter.
The final score wont show it, but the defense played their balls off most of the game. It was the offense that couldn't release the pressure. -
He takes the worst angles
-
I know the guy has had a tuff life but worst player since tripper johnson, easily... i would make another boo the kidns poast but jfc he was so bad and i dont know if anything else needs to be said about him
-
He will live on in HHB / HH lore on a Chris Massey level of shit defending.LongDukDong said:He played and was a step slow all night. Repeatedly

Saw his hair bobbing out of his helmet on the first td run just as I was thinking “what is that fucking angle the safety is taking here”. And I had my answerPineapplePirate said:He takes the worst angles

He can fucking LEAVE. Addition by subtraction for a player that soft.
-
It wasn't a bad angle, he was too close to the line of scrimmage and Edwards was way too fast.ntxduck said:

I will die on the hill that the defense holding Michigan to 20 through 3 quarters shouldve been enough to win rather easily.
The banged up offense was the reason for this L, particularly the RBs and offensive line. Johnson is a warrior, Rogers isn't ready, Nixon sucks, and Davis is injured. -
Rogers isn't ever going to be ready... Nixton sucks, Newton was sarficed to the extra ribs god i guess? UW needs an actual RB like hohnson in the Grub scheme that can pass block... just way to much stress on the OL if you have a small tard like rogers in the bakcfieldPostGameOrangeSlices said:

He done yet?
Wished ND had won that war ages ago. -
Shit on him all you want, but the D sucked ass without him this year.
-
The defense was average at best all season long, with or without Asa. He was a problem but perhaps not the main culprit.
It’ll still be good when he graduates. -
You want Powell playing safety? No thanks.
-
Asa was terrible his entire Husky career. He had moments where you were like “oh wow he might not be completely incompetent”. Then reality comes back shortly after usually within the next couple of plays.
-
thought he was fine in coverage always was not a good run defender. honestly on those dumb ass run plays seemed like the DL actually blew up the plays and the LBs were evacuated somewhere. He's about number 15 on my shit list this game.

Perhaps the biggest defensive WTF moment for me came during Michigan's 4th quarter TD with the long pass over the middle to the tight end. Hampton was behind the tight end, the tight end catches it, then Hampton jumps straight up into the air, allowing the tight end to run right by him and gain another 18 yards. It's at 16:50 here:

Dom Hampton is an athletic freak who would dominate the underwear Olympics. Still love him, but what position does he even play at this point?

I mentally prepared myself to get beat on 2-3 really bad play actions going into the game. Only thing was I thought the offense would be able to remotely make up for it. Did he make a single play in 5 years other than always seem like he was going to get an unnecessary roughness flag?CrispyEaterson said:Dom Hampton is an athletic freak who would dominate the underwear Olympics. the DAWGS got beat. They weren't physical enough. Shitty reffing didn't help at all -
Here's my take on the Michigan holding: Both on the LOS and down the field in the defensive backfield, the wefs were allowing jersey tugs all night long.
SO TUG THEIR FUCKING JERSEYS!
If they can do it, you can do it, too. The problem with the ticky tack Rosengarten hold was that he missed the snap, got badly beaten off the ball, and engaged the end outside of the frame with his left hand. Not a jersey tug hidden by the body or with hands in where it all kind of blends in, but a guy blowing by him and reaching out an arm. It's just going to get called every time.
Fair? No. But I never got the impression the wefs were totally in the tank, rather they just preferred to stay out of it unless it was right out there in the open. One team played right up to the established line, the other team played like they thought the wefs were from the PAC-12. -
My Florida State buddy warned me about this crew before the game. I dismissed it as sour grapes.1to392831weretaken said:Here's my take on the Michigan holding: Both on the LOS and down the field in the defensive backfield, the wefs were allowing jersey tugs all night long.

What you are saying is true, but still.
Roger touched the guy on his chest plate and then hit him in the back to escort his momentum to the turf. It was nothing more. And that was the play. The big play we were waiting for all game. The one that was about to make the shit 20-20. But nah, no dice. I fucking hate complaining about refs too. I feel dirty. -
One of those Edwards 40 yard TD runs has a missed holding on the tackle Herbie acknowledged, too.CallMeBigErn said:

It happens. We got favorable reffing against Tejas. -

And yes, you're right, it swings both ways, but we got the short end tonight in some real crucial moments. Tis what tit is.
Someone post some tits. Maybe that'll distract me.
