Pac 12 needs Washington to win. I've sent out the envelopes

OSU isn’t playing this weekend. Got to win your conf.

College football nerds. Cool source, bro.
-
Does that mean they take a hit right in the SOS for only playing 12 games?SDCJR said:OSU isn’t playing this weekend. Got to win your conf.
Asking for a fren -
If you can’t win your conference, why should you get a shot at a Natty? Answering for your fren.

Georgia's first over Bama came after losing the SEC championship -
Doesn’t mean it was right to let them in.

Nobody is saying it’s right or wrong just that it doesn’t matter what you “think.”SDCJR said:Doesn’t mean it was right to let them in.

Let’s realize that Oregon beating Washington and neither getting into the CFP is so on point for the Pac 12, that the powers that be will probably make that happen.
-
Not even trolling, what is the argument for a one-loss Pac-12 team getting in over one-loss Alabama, Ohio State, or Texas or undefeated Florida State? The conference didn't really show much out of conference and the best showings were actually from the worst in the conference - Cougs beating Wisconsin and Colorado beating TCU and Nebraska.

Didn’t show much out of conference compared to who?WoolleyDoog said:Not even trolling, what is the argument for a one-loss Pac-12 team getting in over one-loss Alabama, Ohio State, or Texas or undefeated Florida State? Pretty sure the Pac had by far the best OOC winning %.
Pac also plays 9 conference games. As always the SEC teams have a bloated OOC records hence more top 25 teams.
This is probably the worst the B1G has been in a while. Those are some very bad teams out there.
This isn’t an argument for, just some notes. -
tOSU getting pulled up won’t help UW, as they’ll finish ranked somewhere around 8th anyway.
-
Root for Georgia. Eliminate Bama
Two time defending champ losing their first game in 3 years gets in over Oregon
Texas probably does although there is still time to Sark it
B1G sucked.
Oregon could get in. Far from a guarantee
Especially since they are losing
-
One loss Texas is definitely more qualified than 1 loss Oregon.
-
Washington should have won the natty in '84 despite not winning the Pac-10RaceBannon said:

No one really showed much out of conference but Texas winning at Alabama and Ohio State beating Notre Dame are about as good as we got. The third team in the Pac-12 lost to Mississippi State, Oregon really struggled with Texas Tech, and USC got pulverized by Notre Dame. Not really much else to go off of. I find it shocking that this is the first time they would give credit to Pac-12 teams with the same loss count as programs like Ohio State, Alabama, and Texas.

If we’re pretending Oregon wins and Georgia beats Bama, why does Texas get in for beating #8 Alabama but not Oregon for beating #3 UW?BleachedAnusDawg said:One loss Texas is definitely more qualified than 1 loss Oregon.
Oregon and Michigan will have the two best wins.
Texas lost to #13 OU, Oregon lost to #3 UW. -
On a neutral field, Oregon is a 10pt favorite over FSU, a 7pt favorite over either Texas or Michigan and probably 3.5 over Bama.MikeSeaver said:

They’re a 2.5 dog to Georgia.
If they win they’re in. -
Irf Oregon beats Washington they still won't have a good win

Might as well not even play the games?RaceBannon said:Irf Oregon beats Washington they still won't have a good win

Utah is out of the top 25 and Oregon State is at a small risk of falling out of the CFP top 25 (although the coaches and AP polls both have them around #21 or 22) precisely because Oregon routed them so badly. People are basically arguing that Oregon should be penalized for routing Oregon State and Utah rather than beating them by 3 points so they stayed ranked. It’s ridiculous.

Oregon sucks and hasn't beat anyone -
Explains why UW is still ranked behind the other unbeaten teams. Your best win was against a team that sucks.RaceBannon said:

Why does the great and all powerful UW struggle so mightily against teams that the really sucky Oregon blows out? And why didn't the mighty UW blow Oregon out when they played them at home?RaceBannon said:

The quality of the UW commentary is dropping precipitously. Like their team, they are getting tighter and tighter as it gets closer to game day.MikeSeaver said:
