Cartels use BTC. That alone is billions(probably trillions) in market cap being used for transactions. Nevermind all the shady globalist shit that no doubt gets traded.
Then you have all the small cap trading in the black market. The local drug dealer around here knows how to use smart contracts.
And technically I could mail Derek a flash drive. Cold storage of BTC/crypto is a thing.
User adoption(outside of the big brokers) is the real cliff hanger right now. The government wants to erect barriers to entry as high as possible for obvious reasons. CBDC is dead as a competitor(hopefully for us all). -
