I'm on vacation/work day 5 of 9, in Kona. Woke up at 1:30 AM, watched ESPN Gameday at 3:00 AM, local time. Poured my 1st Bloody Mary at 8 AM, and the second before the UO-UW game kicked off at 9:30.

Thought a pre-game meal was in order, so I paid $61 for 2 bananas, 2 vanilla lattes, and 2 muffins at the hotel coffee kiosk for breakfast; good to go. I highly recommend not eating at the Hilton Waikoloa.

The game was pretty much (almost) everything I hoped for, and more. Penix is the real deal, and Nix isn't far behind. Proud of my Ducks for the effort, and much respect to UW for the win. No issues with Lanning's decisions, he laid it all on the line.

Maybe most impressed that both teams competed hard, but not cheap or dirty. Congrats on a huge win, hope we get another shot.

I appreciate 98% of your post but I must ask... At what point WOULD you have an issue with Lanning's retardation? If he went for it in the first half on 4th and 10 from his own 5-yard line?

I just hope they’re able to perform Ferguson’s double amputation at UW hospital. You hate to see a kid almost die on the field.
