Congrats on beating BSU

Looking at it from a Michigan perspective it was a quality win for you guys, you took care of business and really made the other team work for every inch of turf. on the offense, you had big penix energy and in this case was a good thing as he hit wide open receivers all over the field. The gaps were too tight for any backs to get through though, the team will need to work on the blocking schemes to get the RBs some open holes.

The defense was solid but not great, the lack of sacks was concerning given the number of studs on the field for that team. Trice and ZTF really should have pounded the QB to the stone age but he was able to wiggle free and make some plays on the field. The most alarming thing to me was that BSU was allowed to set to the tone and score on them early. This was not catastrophic but in the future this could be a problem with slow starts. I really like the BSU coach, he is young and fervent in his approach so you know this is a good BSU team.

Overall it was a good win, nothing to get tossed about, but you only play who is on your schedule right? LOL

I’m just hoping there isn’t a toxic algae bloom in the greater Grand Traverse area of Lake Michigan late next week.

Many of the posters here, I assume, are doing the Dawgs-Sparty/‘Hawks-Lions two for one road special next week.

Uh, the Saitama Seibu Lions are playing the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks on 9/14, before the Huskies.

You should really check your schedule if you plan to do both.

First half only. I don’t give a shit about NFL games until late November.

Only bc this is the first not complete FS take from a BIG! poaster.

First half game plan was obviously flat. An intention of setting up the pass by establishing the run. Failed to do so. Succeeded in passing anyways. The play action on 3rd & 9 isn't fooling anyone but does it matter if you have Penix throwing to Rome, Mickey Millen, and Polk.

More concerned about the O-line not dominating LOS than the run game exactly. Beyond that, Penix was relaxed and the offense seems ready to explode at any moment. Yswidt. This offense will hang plenty of points on almost anyone. Just concerned about the inevitable off night when being able to run for 3rd & 3 needs to happen to ice a game.

The defense isn't great but it's ahead of where it started last year against better competition. Not concerned about the edges *yet. Pretty sure the game plan was contain to make Boise win through the air and beat our? Secondary. Secondary was surprisingly good especially compared to last year. Multiple pass break ups, good angles and hits, forcing drops later on because of contact. No major errors in assignments etc.

The defense got better through the season last year. Hopefully they start this year off good enough that if the offense has a bad night like against UCLA last year they can make up for it. Slow starts, off nights, or whatever. They just need to be opportunistic with this offense and not great. Maybe play great for 1-2 games.

This was a practice game against a "B" squad and the team made Boise look like a "C" game. Looking forward to going in dry against Sparty.

    Now LEAVE!

    Nice try, Dabone

Wolverine Willie seems to be a bit too familiar with the UW roster

That's a pretty distinct "writing style".

MI is a contender, no doubt. First have to be tOSU then the SEC Champ.

    Good luck, pod.

OSU east is losing its Urban musk. Day is an offensive coordinator thats is watching the last few embers of his offence lose their life and can't beat his rival

Michigan got beat by the team that got gorilla raped on national television (high def)

SEC can't win a game unless they play within 150km (150000 meters) of their home. Cal will beat them tomorrow with a 60% filled stadium
