@HHusky, real question if you want to take off the bulbous clown nose.

Obama was reportedly given at least $50 million from Netflix for being a producer. Did you watch his shows?

Don't forget the 60 million buck book deal from a subsidiary of the publisher Obunghole awarded the contract to for Common Core text books from. Like I said it all leads to Obunghole. No book ever written nor promised.

Leftists now have anything other than overpaid incompetents teaching at schools and grifters in government. Oh, also fools on the coasts who vote to pay for corruption. How do you support any of it unless you’re in on the scam? People are typically lazy, and it attracts those who vote for the Left.

Well over 50% of the voting population think they directly or indirectly benefits from a growing government in the United States.
Well, they don't. They may indirectly benefit in some fashion, but most pay far more for rent, mortgage payments, utilities, food, insurance, medical care, education, transportation etc. than what they think is free sh*t. And what can't keep growing forever, doesn't and you run out of other people's money.

You're referencing the freeshiters (a term I coined on eDuck BTW). Direct would be working for the government. Indirect would be getting paid because your company has government contracts or you provode a service. Between these and the freeshitters, well over 50% of the voting population has an interest in the expansion of government. There's a reason De Tocqueville warned once the populace learned it could vote itself money, the Republic would be over. Scum like the pedo loving Her Dazzler are responsible for the demise. It's unlikely it will happen in the few years he has remaining but eventually men like him will be slaughtered.

If you are a Ford employee making cars, the incidental benefit to you of government contracts and tax credits to car purchasers pale in comparison to the costs you incur from the government interference in our economy. Let's assume that half the federal workers are at best superfluous and at the worst are actually doing harm to the economy. While Portland has some necessary municipal employees, the entire Portland City Council and support staff are not part of any solution. Same with the Oregon executive government and most of the legislature. De Tocqueville was correct but the real problem is the 25% or so of the soft minded that vote for dems because they think the government is a solution to the problems that dems created. That is just enabling.

Absolutely. Government in general needs to be slashed by 3/4 at least. Their pensions are ridiculous and unsustainable. A pencil pusher retiring at 55, making $75k (probably a conservative #), and living to 80 will have a retirement equivalent to someone working in the private sector who had to put away about $2mm in their 401k.

I like some aspects of how countries like Sweden have structured their government: large social safety nets but government is small and run by private companies.
