The big ten is actually dumb af for sitting on 16. Adding Oregon/UW/unc/Duke/fsu/Miami would put it on par with the sec + make it the premiere basketball conference. Only a few schools really generate money from Bball, and the big ten would then have most of them (Duke, unc, md, msu, UM, Wisconsin, Illinois, purdue, ucla)

They can't sit at 16. It's an arms race with the SEC and they only have 2 west coast schools.

Sure they want to expand east and get some schools that could either go SEC or B1G, but they can't leave the LA schools on an island.

No one here is mentioning that you have to appease your largest customer, which is FOX. FOX wants a West Coast pod.
Sure doesn’t seem like FOX cares about that. They could have UW & OR any time they want in the BIG10. And yet here we are…
Simple math equation. Fox and the B10 doesn't need UW/Oregon until the SEC expands, so why would Fox pay more and why would the B10 schools split the pie more ways taking money out of the pocket.
Because long term there will be 24 teams per conference and there aren't that many good brands left. There are only 2 remaining in the west.

No one wants to be stuck having to take Virginia Tech or Georgia Tech to round out their league.
Vtech is a legitimate program with support. These decisions aren't based on the past 3 years of on field performance
    Not really.
In a world where we have two 20ish team leagues I'd say Vtech is comfortably a top 30 team so there would be a little sizzle there. The future of CFB isn't going to have only elite teams

I could see the Big Ten taking Georgia Tech for the Atlanta market.

I think VTech is destined for the SEC mega conference

the reason I ask is that "Apple TV" is literally the apple TV box that you buy that enables you to download various apps that you can subscribe to.

It's the "box" and a streaming service.

Some of you think of VT the way east coast people think of coug.

Outside of 1 legendary coach, they’re nothing. I’m pretty sure they don’t sell VT gear that isn’t in camo

UW getting in the B1G would be the biggest thing since the 1991 Natty.

This would put UW in a very desirable spot and increase national exposure by a factor we have never sniffed before.

Even having Minnesota, Iowa, Minnesota, Maryland in Husky Stadium is significantly more interesting than UA, ASU, Utah, etc.

That's millions of more eyeballs on the "greatest setting" every saturday than ever before. Forget about having tOSU, Michigan, Penn St. in the stadium. Florida St. coming to HS? That would be a major event.

Also, schedule WSU as an OOC and you still maintain all the usual regional rivalries.

Getting to a B1G that includes Oregon and the Cali schools maintains everything Dawg fans have ever cared about in the historical Pac combined with exponentially bigger national upside.

If you want UW to compete with the Seahawks in the Seattle market, this is what would do it.

This would light a massive fire under the UW fan base and bring passionate visiting fanbases to Husky Stadium. This is everything a true Dawg fan has ever wanted.

Aside from being the obvious best fit for the B1G in all aspects, the MSU game opened their eyes a bit on the value it would bring their conference to get Seattle with a competitive team.
