I used to love watching the draft and my hatred for it began when the NFL started moving it to various cities and set up sections for fans of teams. Last night was the first time in years that I didn’t even bother turning on the TV, I read a book and checked my phone every so often.DerekJohnson said:Now they're doing flyovers for the draft? NFL draft used to be a holiday for me. This year, I breezed through the first round in about 30 minutes on dvr. Nothing after. It's total spectacle and none of the prognosticators know who will actually be good. They just parrot bs from player agents and GM'S trying to put up smoke screens.

Race Bannon had an analogy years ago on the podcast that I think about from tim-to-tim. He said that when cell phones came out, they kept making annual improvements to them until they became great. But the need to keep adding features to it reaches a tipping point and suddenly there's too much stuff and complexity and it loses the essence of what made it great.haie said:
