Yep all true. I do wonder how much of that support is due to intimidation and needing to be supportive in order to at least be allowed make it to the middle/upper class in Gazan society. Kiss the ring kind of stuff.

From my admittedly anecdotal but well traveled experience most of it is very sincere. These people are still fighting the crusades both metaphorically and literally.
