Dropped pass vs texas played a hell of a game.chuck said:
Like the Oregon State game?TheHB said:The defense is a liability until it isn't. Hoping to win every game 44-37 is no way to win a championship. The defense will have to win a game or three at some point.
That's a joke.
But...the defense started to step up some. OSU, Cal and Texas all kept the UW offense under control but UW made stops when it had to. WSU got some breaks to hang in for one half, but the front 7 had their way with them the whole game and it showed in the second half.
I'll deny this later (don't get all the screenshots you need), but I think the D could be pretty solid this year.
In all seriousness our front 6/7 is capable of playing at a high level and did for stretches. How often was a qb running for his life but still completed a pass to convert a 1st down? It happened quite a bit. Our secondary was that bad. -
Several times in the Sparty and Cuog games off the top of my head. Both of these games should've been way bigger blowouts.AtomicDawg said:

I’m wanting a defense that doesn’t allow easy TDs and long scoring drives on the reg, and occasionally keeps the other team to 17 points.
I know that’s asking a lot. But if we’re thinking titles, let’s set a higher bar than what we saw last year. Because that won’t cut it. If the defense plays like it did a year ago, there are at least four losses on the schedule. -
Rather easily.TheHB said:I’m wanting a defense that doesn’t allow easy TDs and long scoring drives on the reg, and occasionally keeps the other team to 17 points.

The Dutchmen and Penix are now a known quantity in this moribund conference. Harder tim scoring their way out of shitty defense. -
The opener against Boise will be a huge litmus test. Will it be more of the same or a step forward? BSU is the MW favorite and some pundits pick to be the G5 rep in a NY6 game. If UW can’t hold these fags below 20, at home, after all the hype, then 3+ losses is most definitely on the table this year. 40-17 and I’m feeling pretty good. 40-28 and I’ll start counting coin flip games as losses.GrundleStiltzkin said:

Nothing would kill our B1G boners faster than a loss to Boise
