    He also doesn't throw off his back foot too much. There are some long highlight reels out there showing him step up and into throws. The long td to Polk at Autzen is a good example. He stepped up with a guy barreling down on him.

    He throws off his back foot when the pocket breaks down because he can and typically has to, just like every QB.

    I'm no scout. They can probably pick him apart. It doesn't mean they're right on every item.

    The pre snap direction is basically what I was getting at with “progressions.” It comes up in any scouting report, fair or not. How will he do outside of the DeBoer/Grubb scheme? The chances he’s had without them leave a lot to be desired.

    Injuries definitely a big deal too.
