How FS is USC for leaving the PAC? What good is the extra money if the odds of winning you conference decrease significantly?

What good is winning a conference that pulls in half of the TV revenue of the ACC and is on a long-term track to lose any auto-bids from the expanded playoffs?

Honestly though, they should just go independent.
And yet here we are with poor, little old USC having way less TV money that the other 4 Power Conferences on the verge of cruising into the CFP with a nice cushy Pac schedule, plus ND. And they turned it around in one year, by buttfucking Oklahomo and stealing their corch.

USC has an 8.2 billion dollar endowment (hi @creepycoug ). I know they can't pull from that to buy players, but it's a good measurement of the affluence that the USC alumni base has. Seems like they can still compete even with shitty Pac 12 TV deals.
Exactly, so they should go independent and get the best of both worlds.
USC will be part of the "haves" regardless of short term decisions around conference and TV deals.

You gonna be waterfront on Huntington Harbor @UW_Doog_Bot or what after you get the SC post grad degree? I mean it's not Newport Harbor, but still...
