Ohms measure resistance. The lower the resistance the more current by ohm's law (current is voltage / resistance). If there is more current the speaker is louder. Impedance is a somewhat more refined…2 · -

What I thought was interesting was that they ran the mono tapes (recording) concurrently with the "stereo" (which was very primitive). The stereo recordings were 1.5% off in speed and neede…1 ·
