So is this guy committed to A&M only if they have room for him? Is that what's happening?

Yeah so A&M coaches didn't really accept his commitment at the time since they are still going after other guys. https://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/abnb3t/2019_3_cb_ainias_smith_commits_to_texas_am/Neighbor2972 said:So is this guy committed to A&M only if they have room for him? Since then Marcus Banks committed to Bama, although A&M coaches may have already known that. There's still a couple guys they would probably take over him but I don't know that they are the favorites for any of them. It also sounds like they are worried about a couple of their players qualifying, so there's also that.
Kinda seems like they'll have room for him, but they might not, EWIWBI. -

With Asa looking to be back in the mix, I think the UDUB coaches are slow playing Williams a little bit to see if they can still get Ainias if TAMU drops him. I think with Asa you can look for Ainias to b e strictly a Myles Bryant slot defender. I would take Ainias over Jayden in a heartbeat.

I think the USC offer may have slowed the process down regardless, but I do agree with the premise that UW should want Ainias as a true nickel over Jayden.LaMichael_Corleone said:With Asa looking to be back in the mix, I think the UDUB coaches are slow playing Williams a little bit to see if they can still get Ainias if TAMU drops him.
