I don't need to be serious or funny as long as I have a better take then dawgman.HillsboroDuck said:

I can't tell if you're being serious or not.Bread said:Sorry to break it to you but Aj Carty is a 2019 senior he wont be playing with Horn. It was a bit concerning we have 0 threads on the ls situation. But I'm pretty confident in the two guys the staff is looking at. Dennis and Coker are holding back info on our 2019 ls commit. Probably saving it to headline BDTW grand opening. Also we need a scholarship holder that has been a much bigger issue then snapping. Anyone know if Chris Sailer holder academy is starting soon?
Also never funny.
Difficult combo to pull off. -

You need more than just a strong leg to be a successful kicker. It's damn near 90% mental. If I were to ask you if you had a choice to take a kicker that made 70% of his kicks and could kick it from 60, or a kicker that has a max range of 45 yards but made 90%, you would take the 90% every time. Heck, most of you probably would take the 90% kicker if the max range was 40.

The kid is built for pressure, hence the story I told. Being a legend on the Island is a pretty big deal, strong leg + experience = consistency in the kicking game. Mentally, if you know you can bang 50+, you're going into those 35-45 yard kicks with a lot of confidence.greenblood said:You need more than just a strong leg to be a successful kicker. Not all true with the holder situation. A good D1 snapper at, idk, a topBread said:Sorry to break it to you but Aj Carty is a 2019 senior he wont be playing with Horn. 10100 program, SHOULD BE ABLE TO SNAP PERFECT FUCKING LACES, making the holding job really quite easy. Horn baely uses any lean on his kicks, slightly left, so the holder (With a good snap) just has to put the ball down and barely bend it inward if at all. -
Long snapping is important, but I don’t worry about it. That said, I don’t care enough to get into the intricitaces of snapping.theLSkid said:

All true, though I may need a little better than 90% inside 40 to make that trade without hesitation.greenblood said:You need more than just a strong leg to be a successful kicker. Kicking a football precisely, with any power, at all, is hard. If it was easier then everyone would be doing it. It's about like golf in that the margin between a straight, solid shot and a scald, popup, banana slice or duck hook is very small. Anyone with a leg can get it right sometimes, but football kickers have to be almost perfect fundamentally, every time, or it ain't going where you want it to. It's a tough job. -
Hence why UW lost out on Jack Landherr ¯\_(ツ)_/¯RoadDawg55 said:
