Concerns About the New Coaches

Here's the math:
Interviews of new staff looks like football coaches instead of frat boys + doogs going insane about the lack of sizzle = Meek will drop $65 in the team shop for the first time in 8 years.
...it's not much, but it's a start and remember, I didn't spend a cent on Sarkball.

Watching those fucking idiots meltdown over how "boring" our new assistants are seals it for me.
I didn't once feel like I was being sold an old '78 Buick. I was confused at first.
I keep waiting for someone to ask whose gonna plan the keggers?

I'm going to need a see a championship or at least see Petersen hit the cross bar from the 40 yard line. Shoots Brah.

I though Brents was six feet under.Jesus_Christ said: -
These are the same coaches the doogs will be crying about when they leave to become coordinators and head coaches at other schools in a year or two, "We're gonna suck now that Coach _________________ left"

Satan is an angel of light who fell from grace, not the son of God's non existent brother. Hard to imagine you teaching in the temple at 12 with that kind of knowledgeJesus_Christ said: -
You try remembering all this shit at my age, then pop off, Satan superiority guy.

I was thoroughly disappointed that Pete didn't mention what a cool week it was for his Assistant Coaches.

I doubt we'll see similar asst. coaching turnover like we did under our previous head coach.sarktastic said:These are the same coaches the doogs will be crying about when they leave to become coordinators and head coaches at other schools

The previous assts. that did well and left for other jobs, I think, finally realized after some time that Sark was a fukin dirtbag and bolted (Nuss, Martin, Thomas); some were fired, taking the fall for Sark's incompetence as a HC (Cox, Mills, Holt); and Dougherty was really the only one to leave for an actual promotion.
All of Petersen's former assts. left BSU either for promotions, more dollars, or to join an AQ program (Harsin, Choate, Pease, Yates). Assts.' salaries will no longer be a problem for Petersen @ UW, neither obviously will AQ status. From the interviews, they all seem to recognize/regard that Petersen is one of the best in CFB and I think that, aside from big promotions, this staff should stay intact for quite some time, especially since 8 out of 9 have worked together extensively.
It's going to be fun to see what this staff can do with all of the resources they now have at their disposal.
Good shit.

Good poast Stephenson, agree with everything other than Martin doing well at UW. But I think it's a really good overall analysis.
Ultimately, I think assistant coaching turnover is as overrated as coaching stability, but obviously when you have the right guys in place you'd rather keep them than not. -
Sounds like some people here owe Paopao an apology to his FACE!1!

Uhh Nuss leaving for Bama was essentially a promotion. Agree with the rest -
Do Meets, Thomas, and Nuss view themselves as part of Sark's "Tree"?
-
Essentially, but not absolutely. Nuss didn't become a HC, which would be the next step up the coaching ladder. He went from being an off. coordinator/QB coach making $300K in the Pac-12 to an off. coordinator making $590K per in the SEC. Granted, that's a big bump-up in pay, higher conf. status, coaching for Saban, etc.PostGameOrangeSlices said:Joe Stephanson said:

But my point is after 3 seasons coaching for Sark, I think he saw the writing on the wall and wanted to coach for a program and HC that was actually going to compete for champs., not just say they will.
