I did it for the first time. Feels good to contribute something for once in my miserable and pathetic life. Grade inflation was rampant, I have three 5s, just couldn't force myself to give Gaines anything lower than a 5.
Murphy, McGary and BBK got 4s, Miller, Tevis and String were high 3s, Joyner and Sample were also 3s but not high (may have been too generous for Joyner)...nobody else sticks out so I think they were all 1s or 2s otherwise unless I'm forgetting somebody obvious, which I probably am.
Oh yeah Browning was a 3. I'm a pussy. -
I might have given Browning a 5 for all I know. I now cannot recall a single grade I have given out. Note to self, never do this while jet lagged. I fucking hate jet lag. Jake was the hardest one to grade for me, but I gave him the same score you did. Four year starter that missed one game. He got a 4 from me as well. For all his retardation if he finishes with year 2 as opposed to year 4 we probably like him. The downward trend was just killer. His ability to stay healthy also factored in.UWhuskytskeet said:

If you didn’t give Rapp a 5 then you’re a butthurt pansy, no two ways about it. And Browning is the most obvious 3 of all time. He’s the definition of college average.

I think if you’re ever a 1st team All American you’re a 5. BBK is borderline but still counts IMO.

I don't feel good about giving Browning a 4. My reasoning at the moment was similar to what someone said above...4 year starter, durable, diced up most of the shitty teams, etc but it's mainly just his overall productivity.
How the fuck do you give Gaines less than 5???
Rapp, Murphy and yes, even BBK are All Americans and among the best in the nation at their positions. Bitching about BBK's lack of size and power is fine and good if you're evaluating him as an NFL prospect, but this is about the quality of their play in college, production, and importance to UW. Rapp was a three year starter and big play making machine and, as the Rose Bowl demonstrated, a key to the defense. Murphy was Murphy and the 2018 team probably doesn't reach 10 wins and a NY6 bowel without him.
If those three aren't 5* then you're scouting or voting based on likes, not evaluating their career impact. -

I have BBK in as a 4. He finished strong but in most of the big games he simply was trucked. I think 4 acknowledges he finished well above average but also that it really was a 2018 event.
