literally the only guy suggesting this. I'll believe it when I see itHillsboroDuck said: -
If USC is committing Pete needs to go full Sark mode and set up a media room where he hangs a bunch of Ford jerseys of every color combo around the room with a powerpoint presentation in his Hawaiian shirt. I know he isn't big on sloppy seconds but time to get desperate.

Sure...teams would be dumb as hell not to make a run for him. But, making a run for Ford, and actually flipping Ford are two different things.HillsboroDuck said:

UDUB lost a kid to USC because of their slightly better degree and alumni network, but then also lost him again to Oregon who doesn’t even know what the words “alumni” and “networking” mean let alone have the words coincide with each other.
-
Remember that one time Washington offered a 5 star WR before Oregon did but then UDUB stopped talking to said WR for like 6 months while Oregon did not stop talking to him?
-
The funny thing about this is that Sark did that for Arik Armstead and it was the exact opposite of what he wanted. After committing to Oregon, Armstead said he trusted Kelly because instead of putting on a huge show, he just pointed out the recent success of the football team and spoke truthfully to him.CuntWaffle said:If USC is committing Pete needs to go full Sark mode and set up a media room where he hangs a bunch of Ford jerseys of every color combo around the room with a powerpoint presentation in his Hawaiian shirt. Yea that is what I was referencing. Obviously that shit is corny and cringe worthy as fuck but Petersen does need to install the full court press.bananasnblondes said:

Damn...If the dad is specifically stating that his son hasn't signed, then Ford might definitely be in play.GrundleStiltzkin said: -
Fords in play if peterman pulls his head out of his ass. He is the ceo and as the ceo he built the foundation of everything that is udub football at present day. As such, he is the best sales person we have and if he isn’t the one trying to close (yes, full court press!) then we don’t even deserve a chance.greenblood said:

I think full Sark mode would include hiring sark, right?CuntWaffle said:If USC is committing Pete needs to go full Sark mode and set up a media room where he hangs a bunch of Ford jerseys of every color combo around the room with a powerpoint presentation in his Hawaiian shirt. I was talking about in general. It sounds like Oregon has already put their press ondirtysouwfdawg said:

The shitty thing about all of this is that I want to complain about UDUB announcing after the PAC-12 ship, that Lubick wasn’t going to come back so the hire could’ve added some buzz around the last month for him, but also in case something like this happened we’d have someone on the job.
But that would imply that Pete cares about putting effort into recruiting and I don’t think that’s the case if he can’t even find the time to recruit Ford during the middle of lazily recruiting Ngata. -
Or that they thought they were in a good spot for Ford and didn't want to lose any momentum they had by firing Lubick.LaMichael_Corleone said:The shitty thing about all of this is that I want to complain about UDUB announcing after the PAC-12 ship, that Lubick wasn’t going to come back so the hire could’ve added some buzz around the last month for him, but also in case something like this happened we’d have someone on the job.

Seems crazy now but definitely plausible they misread the situation -
Not coming here

Ektard states this morning that two separate sources have told him that Kyle Ford is not completely solid to USC and that UW is believed to still be a "strong" contender for his services...whatever the fuck that means.

So its completely over, good to knowGaryFromTeenMom said:Ektard states this morning that two separate sources have told him that Kyle Ford is not completely solid to USC and that UW is believed to still be a "strong" contender for his services...whatever the fuck that means.

In other words, there is still some intrigue left this year in recruiting. So sign up! Only $10.95!GaryFromTeenMom said:Ektard states this morning that two separate sources have told him that Kyle Ford is not completely solid to USC and that UW is believed to still be a "strong" contender for his services...whatever the fuck that means.
Seriously, I bet the early signing period cut about 6 weeks off of their peak business cycle. -

Hahaha Ektard never even felt this good about UDUBs chances with Kyle Ford when we were actually recruiting him.

When exactly were we “actually” trying to recruit him?LaMichael_Corleone said:Hahaha Ektard never even felt this good about UDUBs chances with Kyle Ford when we were actually recruiting him.

Symbolic that we had him visit for the North Dakota game. Embarrassing.dirtysouwfdawg said:

After Taj Davis talked to him in August and reopened the door we closed in May when the coaches convinced themselves Ngata was coming to take the last WR spot.dirtysouwfdawg said:

Just before that when Puka committed to USC is when UDUB actually showing interest with Bush starting to talk to to him a lot but with Oregon our working UDUB before.
That’s spot on by Dom though with mutual interest because it allowed Austin to be on him about how good of a guy Bush is.
