He didn't get demoted. He stepped down from play calling duties to keep Jimmy on staff. It was completely his idea and he proposed it to Petersen. Not the other way around. The guy has zero ego and is selfless. He just wants to coach ball with fellow coaches he enjoys being around and not have to worry about the head coach he works under getting fired or leaving for another job and being on the coaching carousal. He's not about that life. He's not leaving unless it's for the Boise State head coaching job and even then the next time it's open he might feel like he's too old to handle the duties and stress of being a head coach. Coach K is our Venables or Alliotti. He's gonna be here for a long fucking time and will take back the play calling duties when Jimmy gets the big head coaching job he's waiting for.WeakarmCobra said:
