Welcome to the Peach Bowl 2016.BleachedAnusDawg said:With the current energy and culture at UW there is no way in hell we can compete with either of these teams. They are NFL factories while we play up our pussy "public Ivy League nice guys" persona. We don't have the right kind of coaches to get the talent necessary, nor the upper campus support needed to compete on this level.

The players leaving early are establishing a disturbing trend that, should it continue, will send the FB program down the same road the BB program went down as one-and-dones destroyed the program under Romar. That dive started with Spencer Hawes and ended with Tony Wroten.
UW isn't Clemson or Bama, and will never get the depth needed to challenge for a NC when it loses its best players in multiples each year. DDY and Coker are wrong to assume the program can sustain these kinds of losses. It can't. A Rapp & Murphy come once a decade, not once a year or every couple years.
Time to face reality: We may have seen the peak of the program for this decade back in 2016. Pete is 1-4 in Bowl Games. We suck until we don't. -

Given the current landscape in college football I'm not sure anyone outside of the deep South can have a dynasty like this Clemson or bama.
What UW can achieve is a run of dominance in the conference competing for playoff appearances each year. And with a truly special QB maybe a national title.
