    Is he a real 5-star or a Gaddy 5-star?

    He’s better than Gaddy.
I think it's fair to say that nobody knows. He's a lot smaller, and he has been stated to have low athleticism. Whether or not he'll be better will be mainly how he adjusts to the Mikes schemes. His stats don't portend him to be any better than gaddy playing with much better talent than gaddy. As a soph, Gaddy was shooting 40% from 3 prior to injury, and had a 4/1 assist to turnover ratio. As a soph, Green was shooting 43% with a 1/1 Assist/TO ratio. A lot of similarities out there and no possible way you can say he's "better" than gaddy especially considering he's a pg and has a shitstain A/TO ratio playing with elite talent.

It's better to have him than not, but lets not act like he's coming here as some sort of super stud.
    He’s not a super stud.

He’s a good college PG. He’s more athletic than Gaddy. He’s an elite role player. Get McDaniels and Stewart. Nowell stays. Next year can be special.

    Crisp leaves. Addition by subtraction.

Solid shooter from 3, decent midrange game, and good ball handler. His reputation as a 5* helps in recruiting McDaniels and Stewart.

Possibly. But if they watched him at UK it's not like they were blown away by how he could make them a title contender. But agreed with Deepdawg, anything removing crisp from PG is a major upgrade, whether gaddy or green.

Elite role player? That is quite a funny term for a 5* dude. I also don't buy that this helps jackshit in recruiting. Mike has to sell himself and the direction of the program, not washed up players transferring in. If Mike is doing his job, he should have a frosh coming in to compete with green for the role, not relying on him to be what his recruiting ranking was.

Green’s not washed up. He was over hyped in HS. It’s a good get. He’ll be good for UW.

He is a top 100 player who fell victim to the continuous Kentucky talent train.

He's no different than Eason. Mediocre frosh year that loses job sophomore year to the next 5-star in line.

He will be for the second half of the season. I think it's due to the timing of when he officially transferred.
