Pretty disappointing offensive class overall, I like Cam Davis, Buelow, Fautano and Kalepo but outside of that not really feeling Morris, Luciano, and Taj Davis. -

This staff is incomplete. We flat out miss on entire position groups on a yearly basis. Dline, Pass rush, WR etc... 2nd tier team, clean that shit up for fucks sake Petersen. It’s pathetic bullshit.

Most of this year's class is nails, especially in the trenches. Butt fuck... every single year there's at least one, usually two, position groups that are completely under-recruited. It started with not being able to recruit a QB worth a shit for three years. Then it was WR for a couple years under Pease. Then no DTs in back to back classes. ILB recruiting was a shitshow for a while. And almost every year prior to this one we couldn't sign a BUCK to save our fucking worthless lives.
It's infuriating... and six years in, it's on Pete. Fill your staff with guys who can coach as well as recruit solid talent every year. There's too many recruiting holes on this staff and I think part of it comes down to a deeply help belief by our HC that he can outsmart the system and his built for life culture can turn anyone he signs into a player.
This is a big offseason for Pete. He needs to unfuck his offense. Get rid of some coaches who can't recruit. And fix the festering turd that was our special teams this year. Oh, and recruit a goddamned kicker. -

Aside from just being bad recruiters, what is infuriating about Pete's staffs recruiting is that we never seem to have a backup plan when something goes wrong. We miss on Ngata, Charbonnet and Wolfe and we are so stunned we just don't even bother filling those spots. It's why we often have these gaping holes in our classes.guntlove said:

Like sure, I would love a staff that always gets their number 1 target, but missing on elite guys happens. If you get your #2 target at every position you're probably doing great. Pete needs to find a better balance between holding spots for elite guys and still recruiting the lower targets. This all or nothing approach makes it so fucking hard to get a complete class. Stop making this so hard, offer more kids! Stop letting scholarships go unused! Roster management is the most underrated part of being good at college football.
