Hondo need help with the decimals.

Not at all. The effective rate of the top 1% is also about that 27%. It's in the article but I was showing a point

I also looked up social security and Medicare. Top 1% makes up about 20% of income but only 4% of social security and Medicare taxes. What do you think that does to the "top 1% pays almost 40% of federal taxes" argument? Like I said, Bob, you are great at lying with "facts".

Dude - your obsession is on 1%. But you obsessively quote 0.001%. That is 1/1000 of 1%.

Maff is hard. At least be accurate when you try to figures lie/liars figure.

Nice rant. So I read it that you were saying there pay close to 40% of their income. Wich isn't true. (Data is prior to tax cut)

Another interesting trend is that the very top taxpayers — the 0.001% — actually pay a lower tax rate than the top One Percent overall. While the One Percent pay an average federal rate of 27.1%, the top 0.001% pay an average rate of 23.93%. This trend has largely been consistent over the last 10 years of IRS data.

That being said, if you are saying they pay 40% of all income taxes of America, that's close enough to factual. But they also make 20% of all income. That's not drastically out of whack. And when you bring in social security and Medicare tax, I bet that 40% drops.
Hondo unlike you there is no dick in my mouth. What I said was perfectly clear. Funny how you're now calling my "extreme ignorance" "close enough to factual."

So to recap. Nothing I said was a lie and you're now responding with gibberish about Social Security and Medicare when what I said dealt only with income taxes.

Exactly. You are lying with "facts". You, and the conservative websites that promote the "wealthy pay too much in income tax", don't include social security and Medicare, on which they pay disproportionally less of their income.

So my "lie" that you claimed was due to my "extreme ignorance" is a now a "fact" that simply made your Kunt hurt. Why would I include Social Security and Medicare when I specifically said "income taxes" dumbass?

Why didn't Mr. Reading Comprehension just read what I actually said?

This is progress (I agree with the point you are trying to make but I would suggest some refinement to the argument.)

Dixiecrats, civil rights era southern democrats that turned gop starting with Nixon’s southern strategy, are mostly all dead. Their legacy of unskilled-uneducated frightened caucasians with express grievances toward “elites” continue unabated however. They exist everywhere there is obsolescence and inefficiency (manufacturing, mining, textiles, etc.). US competitive advantage is skills and competency. That doesn’t sit well with a trump voter. Like all populist and nationalist movements, it will die. The only question is at what ultimate cost.
If only your version of history were true you might have a point about Dixiecrats but the facts are they stayed democrat and died out. The Republicans didn't start to win in local elections in the South until 1994 and that is wholly born of democrats taking their party further left which turned off many more middle of the road democrats and had nothing to do with the color of one's skin or Civil Rights.

Yeah, who knew that a region of the county that is more patriotic and traditional in their views would react negatively to a party who was openly hostile to the US Military and traditional values. Has to be on account of race. It can't be on account of the fact the Rats ran candidates like McGovern and Dukakis

Re-writing history seems to be a favored past time of democrats. Somehow it makes them look less evil I guess.

All part of the commie platform for over 100 years. Odd there aren't any commie governments that have been around that long, But it's the best! Ask Hondo and his merry band of reds!
