He wasn't. He was garbage at Miami. Different skill set. Some of the guys you're yelling at make more $$ than you, and aren't 21 or younger. And the egos are massive enuff to compete with the HC. Saban has full control and all the financial support he needs. He could have gotten more at Texas, but they would have wanted to be too involved in the process. Now Bama is in perpetual motion and he just has to make sure nothing stops it
