Dungeness is the greatest food ever invented by evolution.
-
Which one of you is this?

Tough call. Been to a couple crab feeds in Balmer. Cheasapeake Blues are goddamned delicious.YellowSnow said:Dungeness is the greatest food ever invented by evolution.
Have also had some nice soft shells in NOLA that made me hard.

Used to go to a place called Schultzy's on Eastern Avenue over by the Martin Marietta plant. Crab bisque and a CLT instead of a BLT.PurpleThrobber said:

Update; day 2. It's not popcorn.
Praise Allah for good Samaritans, Anthony's bloody's, and chowder. -
Dukes. Lobster Chowder—the large bowl. No beer—I feel bloated afterwords.
Instead order a double Paloma with Mezcal. If you fancy yourself a player, ask for a single ice cube—thick and blocky. Enjoy -
Final update; day 3. #skunked.
Final tally, 8. Gave 2 to a pal. 6 cooked and ready to crack.
This will conclude my attempt to fag-up @YellowSnow 's Record Shoppe into Facebook ...For now -
How many pots do you throw out each time? We usually throw 4, but we go to Florence. I think the worst we’ve ever done is 6 in a day. Is it different in WA, other than the size requirement?minion_doog said:Final update; day 3. #skunked.

Dungies vs. blue crabs is like Huskies vs. Coogers.PurpleThrobber said:

Minschew is the QB for the blue crabs, and the Dungies are in the Rose Bowl. -
2 pots per person, no limit how many pots per boat. 2 pots day one -caught 4, 4 pots day two -caught 4 (dead battery shortened the day, pots soaked over night in less than ideal area) Went out day 3 just to collect the pots and recovered 4 blanks. Limit is 5 per person. Out of Everett we limit most of the time in 6ish hours, if not then just under limit. At 5 3/4" the catch would be double or limit in half the time.greenblood said:

Jeez - now I'm thinking I should run out and get some crabs tomorrow morning. Damn you and your Dungeness crab post!
-
People forget that my shitty little bored is not just for music, movies, and booze. It’s also the best source for crabbing and fishing hawt talk.
Catch a dungeness crab at low tide with your bare hands and then pop off!! -

Seriously. IFL Dungeness. I still remember the first one I ever had fresh out of the pot in Hood Canal in the late 90s. Before that it was all store bought.minion_doog said:YellowSnow said:People forget that my shitty little bored is not just for music, movies, and booze. Yeah that makes sense. Oregon crabbing kicks ass.minion_doog said:

if you dont smell like old bay for 2 days afterwards you are a bitch
-
I guess if you're feeding your fam, that's great. As a hobby, I barely have the patience to clean the tiny-ass legs on 6 1/4" and enough to keep the neighbors from complaining about occasional loud music or when I beat the children.greenblood said:
