USC, but that was long enough ago to where we could essentially get him to recommit. We had 3 or 4 OL spots available at the time he did that. It wasn't too much of a risk for him of us filling up. If Williams plays around, I could very easily see someone take his spot and him getting left out.HillsboroDuck said:

Said they told him they would continue to recruit him until he puts pen to paper. Also said he has definitely taken notice of the recent Safety departures/suspensions at USC (Ykili Ross, Bubba Bolden) and that he would be monitoring both depth charts going forward.
Long story short he's not committed so don't consider him a commit till he signs and enrolls.
1. Drop him like they did to Nicholas Bolton and Connor Wedington
2. Continue to recruit him, but also go after other safeties. If someone else commits (possibly Darien Chase?) then they'd drop Williams.
There is a third option here.

A couple of schools in particular questioned his soon-to-be position coach, Jimmy Lake, and whether he was the right man for Williams' future.
"They were saying that he wasn't going to be there (for all four or five years of his career) or that he wasn't the coach to develop me the right way," Williams said. "I mean, you can say what you want about him possibly moving on to another school as a head coach or something like that, but he can't develop me? Come on. He's sending four guys to the league this year and he's already sent several to the league since he's been there."
Lake has told Williams to be ready to play the same position as Taylor Rapp and he said that fits him perfectly.
"I watched pretty much all of their games this season and everytime they were on defense, I watched how T-Rapp was doing things and Jojo (McIntosh) and I tried to learn and see what they were doing.
