Probably true. It’s amazing to me some of the best high school players(and it’s known I watch em) are from the west coast on some of the best teams in America(#1 Matra Die, St John Bosco, De La Salle, etc) and those players, like Najee from that way goes to Bama...
I know California et al has talent, but with the amount of talent around here most of the time the National Championship high school comes from west coast and not just the #1, but many times 2 and 3 and many of the players head East.
I blame the corches as u said, or blaze and PLSS.
