Ngata is purely a pass rusher in obvious passing downs. If there was no snow and WSU was actually taking shots downfield, you probably would have seen him in there. But with the cougs playing small ball, we weren’t gonna waste one of our three rushers on a guy who can’t reliably cover the flat or keep depth against Minshew.

He flashed for a few weeks early then didn’t do much the rest of the way. Tryon and Ryan Bowman both played more as the season went along. I still think Ngata will be a stud.

agreed as long as his shoulder does not fall off. I thought he played well against Utah and then not much since. I still think he bulks up and is a multi year starter for us.
