When Urban Meyer went to Florida he had never recruited against the big boys. It was a different level of recruit he had to close down there at Florida. I think it is safe to say that Meyer was an unmitigated disaster at Florida.
Kevin Sumlin at aTm can't close top level recruits at aTm and everyone knows it. It is only a matter of time before there is a huge implosion at college station. The boosters and insiders with access all know he is going to fail.
It's the same reason that Wisconsin is so frustrated with Gary Andersen. They can't recruit the top level guys that they were always getting before.
All the coaches that come from small schools just don't get it. It pains me to say it but Aaandy and kim are right.
Brian Kelly didn't get it when he moved up from Grand Valley State to Central Michigan and later on to Cincinnati. Unfortunately for Cincinnati, their franchise didn't have an Aaaaandy to advise them to pass on the Central Michigan coach and go out and hire a proven big time college coach like Tommy Tuberville instead.
Same shit happened at Ohio State when they hired that guy from Youngstown State who knew nothing but how to build a winning football program. He didn't get it either.

Sounds like I got out just in time or I'd be pissed off and pulling my hair out trying to decide how to combat it. Now I guess I'll just pretend they don't exist. I cancelled yesterday and had "free time" for about one hour. I was on monthly payments so it's possible that a payment was already due. I've never paid attention to when the payments were taken. What I think, though, is that the email I sent them pointing out that the phone # they provide when you click on the unsubscribe link is no longer valid and they should update it probably pissed someone off so they flipped the switch on me.
There had been a lull in the anti Petersen agenda. Sounds like they brought out one of the big guns to get it up and firing again. Unfortunately nobody is allowed to argue with AAAAAaaaaandy. -
Good thing we didn't go after Craig Bohl, then. I mean being relegated to going after Boise recruits is one thing, but imagine having to beat out Samford, Iona and Stony Brook for recruits. We dodged a bullet there.

let's not forget how badly Jim Mora has been recruiting at UCLA. Mora was a failure as an NFL coach and won't know how to recruit the elite Pac12 athlete. Washington was just silly to let Sark leave when he wanted to while fucking us over with his traitorous staff for about 2 months.
