  Fewer people as a percentage of the world’s population living in poverty then at any other time in human history, increasing life expectancy around the globe compared to 100 years ago sounds like a pretty big win to me.

  The increasing life expectancy part is a double edged sword. Many regions on Earth are still in Malthusian status.
