Not really. Both Democrats and Republicans in Congress are beholden to big pharma money. Hemp hurts logging and cotton growers. CBD hurts big pharma. I think it's dumb, but under our current lobbying system, I don't see it happening yet. Shit hemp is included at schedule 1.
