Hate to say it, but hope so. Plays to our weaknesses, IMO. And far too much hunting and pecking for plays. Want to run option? Great, option can be a nice wrinkle. Don't just run it once and give up on it. Actually use the fucking thing in the right situation. Like the Hawks, we run read option with no option. We run jet sweep action TO NO END. When we feel we need yardage our formations get TIGHTER, which is demonstrably, provably the wrong way to go. Our WR route concepts don't help WRs get separation, with a QB that won't throw w/o seeing separation.
But part of this is still on Pete. 3rd & 3 on their side of the field w/ Haener was absolutely two-down territory; run the fucking thing to get the three, and if you don't get it, run it again. Actually USE the jet sweep or stretch play to string it out and keep the defense moving/guessing. Same with the bitch ass give-up run by our own EZ. Give us a CHANCE.
