Most total tackles in pac-12 season

BBK (108) should crack the Top 10 sometime in the 3rd quarter on Saturday

Burfict would have made the list if he wasn’t banned from so many games.

David Rill and Michael Jackson would probably make that list if it went back beyond 2005.
But you know, this stat doesn't mean that much. It means your defense sucks and your team probably sucks. It's like saying Cody Pickett and Jake Browning are great QBs because they threw for so many yards. -

Jackson had 210 tackles one year according to his Wikipedia page

The majority of those guys were on such shitty defenses that allowed them to jump on the pile enough times because they couldn't get off the field. Kill me if this is celebrated.

I’d like to see tackles for loss. From what I saw in the Oregon game, his tackles were 4-5 yards down field. Now if he was also ranked in tackles for loss, that would be an accomplishment.

I like BBK though, I should add

Agree with this.greenblood said:I’d like to see tackles for loss. From what I saw in the Oregon game, his tackles were 4-5 yards down field. Now if he was also ranked in tackles for loss, that would be an accomplishment.
BBK's not a game changer as a tackler, but he's solid. Overrated but good tackler.
He does contribute to a lot of turnovers though for a MLB, this is where he's underrated. -
This doesn't mean a lot, either, frankly. Large percentage of this has to do with usage. A team can send it's 225-lb. OLB upfield from like a wide 9 position every play, the nature of the defense is they're going to catch a bunch of TFLs over their career. Or they can keep that guy in the middle in a 2-gapping scheme where things are funneled to the MLB and he'll rack up a bunch of tackles. Neither way means he's "better." At least BBK is active, which is where creating tips and fumbles usually comes from.greenblood said:I’d like to see tackles for loss. ISAFNRC but awful lot of anti DDYs on that list.
(Actually, I'm just guessing because of the names Christian, Eric, Blake, Spencer and Jared. And of course Cort and Scooby) -
BBK forces a fumble every game. He balls out just stop with the backhanded shit already.
-
I agree. I’m not saying he’s bad, but based on a defensive scheme like you said, tackles may just be considered a stat compiler for him.RealRhino said:

Arizona fans were so pissed off after that play. I remember seeing dissertations that were supposed to prove the ball touched the ground. -

Probably the best player from the Sark era. I know Ty recruited him, but he’s still a Sark guy to me.CuntWaffle said:Goddam I miss Mason Foster. One of the few great players in such a shitty era.

Would love to see Mosster FS laugh at me again for saying BBK would start at Oregon.
