    Repoasting this because this nonsense seems to be spreading.

    Bellotti won a ten team conference 1.3 times in 14 years.

    Petersen has won a 12 team conference once in 4 years.

    Bellotti finished in the top 5 of the rankings once in 14 years.

    Petersen has finished in the top 5 of the rankings once in 4 years.

    First four years Bellotti was 17-15. Pete was 23-13.

    One win a year better at tops!

    And remember, poor Bellotti 1.0 only inherited a conference champion while sneaky Bellotti 2.0 inherited a sixth place team.

    So far Petersen has failed to surpass Bellotti's accomplishments. There's no reason to think he ever will.
    All of that was before the Arizona schools were SERIOUS about football. Also, Pete Carroll works somewhere else now.

    There's no titans in the conference at the moment. And yet... Clay Helton has just as many G-Spot Stimulator Trophies as Peenerman. Hell, so does Mark Helfrich. HOW DOES THAT EVEN HAPPEN

    And it was a long time ago, but believe it or not, in the 1990's, Oregon was not really considered a powerhouse program and had facilities that lagged well behind the rest of the conference. Now, I'm told that everything at UW is TOTES AWESUM DA BESTEST, so I don't see Peenerman having to deal with that sort of thing.

    And I seem to recall a WHOLE BUNCH of NFL players on Sark's Facebook page. From 2013-2017, UW put 13 guys in the NFL (5 1st round and 6 2d round players), and some of the guys from 2018 were Sark guys too, I think.

    [OTOH, Budda Baker was all Peeenerman]

    Meanwhile, Oregon put 10 guys in the NFL from 1996-1998 (only 2 1st round players and one from the 2d round, and one of the 1st rounders was Akili Smith).

    Not really apples to apples, fren.

    UW put more people into the pros over 5 seasons (including one Pete wasn't even here for) than Bellotti did in his first three seasons.
