They control both houses of Congress and the presidency and still blame Democrats.
The Congressional Budget Office projected last week that the federal government’s fiscal 2018 deficit would total $782 billion. The final numbers will be released by the Treasury Department, but Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin is already spinning the bad news.
“People are going to want to say the deficit is because of the tax cuts — that’s not the real story,” he told CNN in an interview Thursday.
“The real story is we made a significant investment in the military which is very, very important, and to get that done we had to increase non-military spending [to win Democratic votes],” Mnuchin said. “If we could have approved that with 51 votes instead of 60 votes, we would not have spent as much money on non-military spending and the budget deficit would have been considerably smaller."

I favor a number of polices that don't necessarily benefit me financially. How are Republicans not working in my interests? Maybe most Republicans aren't petty Marxist like yourself Hondo and they don't view politics through a lens of class interest.

How are conservatives working on the wall? Repealing roe v Wade? Balancing the budget? Repealing Obamacare? They are holding firm on the second amendment so there's that. Don't care about Roe v. Wade and there's nothing Congress can do about repealing Roe v. Wade but you're a dipshit and thus you think there is something they can do. Balancing the budget is the same story. There's nobody in the Rat party in favor of cutting spending and balancing the budget, there are some in the GOP. So why would I vote for Rats?
